Quality of our food

What we have gain in convenience we lost in quality, food is now easier to obtain and to prepare, but at what cost?, in their worry to produce more and cheaper food the big industrial companies sacrificed most nutrition values of the food and damaged the environment in the process, we need to reestablish the balance between quality and abundance

Body P.H.

Any one who knows a little bit about chemistry knows that the PH is of utmost importance in most environments in order to promote a healthy development of life, wether it is in a pool for the algeas, or in the soil for the plants and pests. It is not surprising that the PH of our body directly affects our health. The range of human PH is narrow, we cannot live if our body is under 6.8 or above 7.8. A neutral PH is 7, under 7 the PH is acidic, above 7 it is alkaline, your cells cannot heal in an acidic environment, the ideal PH to stay healthy is 7.4.

The food we eat is directly linked to our body PH, once processed by our system some foods create a more acidic or more alkaline environment depending on their mineral composition and the way they are burned by our system. It is not as easy as it seems, some akaline foods can make our body acidic and some acidic foods can make our body alkaline. The ideal balance for a healthy body is 80% alkaline and 20% acidic. Acidosis is one of the main cause of many illnesses like arthritic and reumatic diseases. If you consume  mainly acid causing food your body will fight to counterbalance the effect and will depleat your calcium reserves in order to restore an alkaline PH, thus affecting your bones and teeth. Once you understand this part you realise how absurd is the idea that drinking cow milk will help with your bones and teeth (cow milk is a food that will produce acid once digested.) Here is a list that will help you to make better food choices:
