You can find very pretty templates for cute pantry labels on the web, I used to spend time creating the labels, spend more time to make sure they are properly aligned, and spend all my expensive color ink. After a couple of months I could start all over again because the boys had messed up all my pretty labels  mainly the one on  the sugar jar ( which they use the most.) Then one day I decided to make my own hand written contact paper labels and they actually came out pretty nice with zero expense since I already had the contact paper and the sharpie. As a bonus they are waterproof and washables. I admit that they don't look as pretty as the one made with the fancy templates but they are easier and quicker to make, more durable, washables and cheaper. Alltogether in the pantry they make it look crisp and organized.
